Flying squirrels are not domesticated animals so you have to get them out of the wild.But that is illegal also, so you have to get them from a registered breeder.
But first you must check with your state Division of Wildlife to get a permit.You have to do it legally or you can lose your flying squirrel, pay a fine, and do jail time.
